Club Rules for Bridlewood Tennis Club 

 

  1. All members and guests must adhere to Club Rules and club Code of Conduct. Consequences to breaking the Club Rules or Code of Conduct will be determined by the Executive and may include suspension or revocation of membership with no refund eligibility.

  2. Members must keep the combination lock to the entrance gate confidential.

  3. Members must ensure gate is securely locked and lights are turned off if you are the last to leave.

  4. Courts shall be booked online only. Court booking is only available for Bridlewood Tennis Club members on our website. 

  5. Adult and junior club programming including but not limited to: tournaments, ladder, House League, the Social, skills clinics, league matches, junior lessons, junior camps, and public hours will take priority of courts.

  6. Public time is listed on the website, subject to change by the Executive every year.

  7. Members must have access to their membership confirmation email as proof of valid membership.

  8. Non-marking tennis shoes are required.

  9. All fees for membership, house league, inter club teams, junior programs, adult programs, tournaments, and special events must be paid in advance.

  10. Guests are allowed for $10 per session paid via e-transfer to bridlewoodmembership@gmail.com.

  11. Players demonstrating abusive language, signs of unsuitable bad temper, or causing a disruption, will not be tolerated.

  12. Players shall not play on wet courts or when there is thunder and/or lightning.

  13. Any violent behaviour of either a physical or sexual nature where the police are called will result in immediate suspension of the membership of the perpetrator.

  14. Hoppers and ball machines must be used on Court 3 only and with the divider net closed.

  15. It is at the discretion of the players on Court 3 to have the divider net open or closed.

Code of Conduct for Bridlewood Tennis Club

 

We strive to preserve a pleasant and respectful environment both on and off the court, so that all members can use and enjoy the club’s facilities to the fullest extent.  The highest level of sportsmanship, courtesy, respect for others, and fair play is expected. The following are expectations to which all club members, guests/visitors, tennis professionals, and parents must adhere:

 

  1. Respect toward others regardless of age, gender or sexual orientation, race, culture or religion.

  2. Respect for all Club property and facilities, including but not limited to courts, nets, teaching equipment, grooming equipment, furnishings, supplies, and appliances.

  3. Inappropriate language, aggressive behaviour, disruptive behaviour, or any form of bullying will not be tolerated.

  4. Any statement or behaviour that is reasonable for an individual to interpret as a threat to use physical force that would or could cause injury will not be tolerated.

  5. Harassment will not be tolerated.
    Harassment is defined as engaging in a course of vexatious comment or conduct that is known or ought reasonably to be known to be unwelcome and includes physical, verbal and sexual harassment.

  6. Good sportsmanship on and off the court is mandatory.

  7. Tennis etiquette must be adhered to. Players must be respectful and not interrupt other’s play. Should a player ask you to refrain from your actions, you must stop immediately.

  8. Members are responsible for ensuring that their guests follow this Code of Conduct, and are responsible for ensuring that the guest fees are paid.
